This listing is for a vintage 1970s / 80s Aurex micro system, comprising of

1 x A10 Amp
1 x ST10 FM/MW/LW Tuner
1 x D10 Cassette Deck3 x Original Instruction Manuals3 x Interconnects

All in good, working condition. I have tested all inputs and everything works remarkably well, bearing in mind that this system is now nearly 50 years old (but see notes below, regarding D10 cassette deck)
The system has had one (elderly) owner from new and hasnt been used for the last 15 years
Some minor cosmetic marking to casing (see last photo).
The cassette decks counter zero-ing button has been replaced by a non standard part (see last but one photo). Not noticeable, unless youre very close up and it does zero the counter, when pushed. However, the counter itself no longer works reliably (not a big issue for most people).

The D10 cassette deck had a mini service recently, including changing 3 of the drive belts. The play drive is strong, but the FF & Rewind are not as strong as they would have been when new. The idler wheel makes a slight constant noise when the cassette deck is powered up, but I seem to remember that as being normal for this model (I used to sell them back in the 80s). The idler wheel ticking is still there in play mode, but not audible when music is playing and most people would leave the cassette deck turned off, when its not in use, anyway, so it would be completely silent then. I have run various cassette tapes on the D10, for several hours and they have all played perfectly - see main photo above.

So, to summarise (and in the interests of full disclosure) the amp works well on all inputs and the tuner works beautifully. The cassette deck currently works well on all functions (including record and auto stop) but, as with all cassette decks of this age, its mechanically noisy and cant be guaranteed in the long term and would benefit from a full service, at some point, plus the tape counter doesnt work properly.

The 3 mains cables have been cut short and hard wired into a high quality Marbo mains distribution system, to keep the wiring neat and tidy (the whole system is now powered from one mains plug)

Dimensions - 26cm (W) x 25cm (D - inc vol knob & aerial) x 21cm (H) - very cute!!

A rare opportunity to purchase this iconic retro audiophile micro system, in remarkable cosmetic condition. Its worth buying just to look at - I dont think youll find one of these in better cosmetic condition!
