The first edition of this work in the publishers original cloth binding, with a colour plate to the front board.
Owen Rutter (1889-1944) was an English historian, novelist and travel writer.
In this work, a young boy dreams that he is on a guided tour of Buckingham Palace, accompanied by characters representing countries of the British Empire, such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Northern Ireland and India.
This book was adapted from the 1930 film of the same name, directed by Walter Creighton. It was the first time that filming had been permitted inside Buckingham Palace. This book features stills from the film.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally generally smart, though faded with light shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for offsetting to the end papers.
